"cpu_threads_conf" :
 [

{ "low_power_mode" : false, "no_prefetch" : true, "affine_to_cpu" : 0 },
 { "low_power_mode" : false, "no_prefetch" : true, "affine_to_cpu" : 1 },
 { "low_power_mode" : false, "no_prefetch" : true, "affine_to_cpu" : 2 },

],

The best configuration tested on my machine as of 04/05/2018:

Running on Kubuntu 17.10 x86_64, on kernel 4.13.0-18-generic. The processor is running at 4.0GHz on the three threads xmr-stak runs on, according to cpufreq-info. RAM runs at 2400MHz CL12.

Compared to the configuration above:

  • Running “affine_to_cpu”: false and “no_prefetch”: true yields 224H/s.
  • Running “no_prefetch”: true, on cores 1,2,3 yields 223 H/s.
  • Running “no_prefect”: false yields 217H/s, no matter if a thread runs on core 0 or core 3, or with “affine_to_cpu”: false for all threads.

It looks like allowing prefetching on this CPU yields worse results overall, while CPU affinity has little impact.
